The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is one of the largest and most beloved family attractions in Colorado, with over 675,000 visitors annually. Situated on over 70 acres of naturalistic exhibits, it is home to approximately 800 species. Major exhibits include the Africa Rift Valley, Encounter Africa, Rocky Mountain Wild, Primate World, and Asian Highlands, among others. The CMZoo has consistently been ranked within the top 10 zoos in the United States for many years.
The Edventure Building houses the Zoo’s educational programs, including elementary school field trips, overnight adventures, and summer school programs. Children are educated about animal safety, conservation, and physically interact with animals. The ground floor includes offices for Guest Services and Edventure departments, as well as a multi purpose conference room and guest restrooms. The second floor is a large multi purpose room, kitchen, and restrooms for the Edventure programs with an attached outdoor patio. A donor conference room and private patio were also included on the second floor.
